Abstract

An analysis was made of the actual problems of decarbonization associated with the release of CO2 during the combustion of coal, one of the main types of fuel for power plants in the world and especially in Kazakhstan, and promising ways to solve related environmental problems. Methods for processing coal fuel in the form of a water-coal suspension are considered. An experimental plant for the emulsification of diesel fuel and the characteristics of emissions during its use are described. The mechanism of combustion of water-coal suspension and the possibility of effective reduction of CO2 emission due to its use are considered.
