Abstract

The article is devoted to obtaining activated solid powder materials for flameless food heaters using mechanochemical processing. To obtain powder mixtures for flameless heaters, mixtures of primary materials were subjected to grinding in a ball mill with a change in processing time (50 min, 65 min, 150 min). Aluminum was chosen as the main ingredient of the powder mixture. As a result of the study, activated powders showed a significant increase in reactivity with respect to the reference mixture. Using such methods as electron scanning microscopy and thermogravimetry, the properties of the initial, intermediate and final products were investigated. It is shown that the use of mechanical activation can lead to the production of nanometer-sized pyrophoric materials with extremely high reactivity, which contributes to the synthesis of highly effective flameless food heaters.
