Review process

All manuscripts submitted to the journal and complying with the Author Guidelines are subject to mandatory peer review.

The journal uses a single-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts holding the degree of Candidate of Sciences, Doctor of Sciences, or PhD, whose research expertise corresponds to the subject of the manuscript.

Based on the reviewers’ assessments, a manuscript may be recommended for publication, revision, or rejection. In cases where the reviewers’ opinions differ, the manuscript may be sent for additional review to an independent expert. The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

The standard peer-review period is 4–5 weeks. Authors may submit their manuscript to another journal only after receiving an official rejection from Combustion and Plasma Chemistry.
