Abstract

Generation of the Electron-Beam Plasma (EBP) by means of the Electron Beam (EB) injection into a container filling with a plasmagenerating gas is considered. The interaction of the EBP with the container walls is studied. The interaction processes are found to be responsible for both plasma properties and container behavior (heating, luminescence, electric charging and some others). Plasmachemical modification of the container material caused by the EBP and EB is studied as well. Plasma setups in which the EB is injected in still and flowing gas are described and examples of their applications for industrial and aerospace technologies are given.
