Abstract

In that working shows results of the research about effect of the size and quantity of the reducing agent on the completeness of the extraction of the desired product, on the speed of the SHS process, as well as the selection by experiment of its quantity and granulometric composition to achieve the optimum speed of the process for obtaining an alloy with a high yield of silicon. Shows results of the determination of the granulometric composition of aluminum by the sieve method, its activity by a volumetric method. Shows results of out-of-furnace aluminothermic melting with quartz sand and aluminum of various sizes with heating and fluxing additives.
