Abstract

The effect of modifying additives (oxides of Co, Ce and La) on the activity of Ni/ɣ-Al2O3 catalyst in the incomplete combustion of methane to synthesis gas was studied. It is shown that the introduction of cerium and lanthanum oxides increases the resistance of the catalyst to coke deposition. It is determined that the introduction of lanthanum oxide leads to a decrease in the reduction temperature and an increase in the dispersion of the Ni catalyst.
