Abstract

Rice husk (RH) is a waste formed in the production of rice. The main problem is that the husk is emitted in large quantities, and this leads to environmental pollution problems. After burning, you can get only 20% of the mass of rice husk ash, but with a high content of silica. The high silica content makes the residue very interesting for use in various fields. Understanding the effects of heat and chemical treatment on the properties and content of silicon dioxide in the rice husk ash is of great importance. This work describes the experience of heat treatment of RH, the influence of temperature on the properties of the obtained silicon dioxide. It was concluded that thermal and chemical treatments affect the properties of the resulting rice husk ash, such as silica crystallinity and ash morphology.
