Abstract

Fabrication of nano-structured surfaces by plasma-based methods is discussed with special attention paid to deposition of nanoparticles by gas aggregation particle sources. Combination of different nano-particles as well as their embedding into supporting matrices is shown to open diverse possibilities for controllable tuning of functionality of resultant films.
